ConferenceReshaping the Art World: An Experiment in Collaborative Change-making

RESHAPE Prototype

A Tarot Deck to Reimagine the Arts

This workshop is an opportunity to reflect together on the possible transformations of the practices of our sector. For this, we will use an experimental tool: a set of cards inspired by a tarot deck and created by artists from Europe and the Mediterranean. This particular deck of tarot cards does not predict the future (although the session might indeed enhance some magic... ), but helps reflect on the present situation and provides a more holistic vision of it. We will use the cards as a basis for discussion, to forge conversation and action in a way that is playful and that encourages responses from various perspectives. Come along to uncover ideas and practical ways to move forward in your own work in informing a fairer arts ecology. The duration of the workshop is 2 hours, your presence being required for the entire duration. It will host a limited number of participants on a first-come, first-served basis.

During the conference, we also propose individual readings which could be shaped according to your needs. These will take place in the breaks between the programme, during breakfasts or evening parties. In case you are interested, contact Petr via whatsapp/telegram +420 731 468 447 and you will be matched with the available facilitator.

Marko Bulc: First Altruistic Performance

The First Altruistic Performance isbased on the author’s frustration and dissatisfaction with most of the so‑called artivistic projects (including his own), which exploit unfortunate, unjust, illegal, and similar miserable situations of the other and the others for self‑promotion and to strengthen their artistic ego, while being for the most part self‑sufficiently confined within the boundaries of the art system.
