Outi Järvinen

I have worked in the performing arts sector as manager and producer for 15+ years, and I have seen the realities of freelance artists, collectives, groups, production centers, and venues from many perspectives - both locally, nationally, and internationally.

In 2012, I founded Arts Management Helsinki: a values-based company which has its focus on the improvement of working conditions of artists, on the creation of new partnerships and possibilities, and on the rethinking of production structures. Currently, I work with dozens of freelance artists (performing arts, visual arts & cross-discipline) and art projects, providing them consulting, administration, production skills etc. My personal mission is to ensure that independent, radical, forward-thinking artists have the support and structures that they need - against all odds.
